Nicaragua Christian School is a dream that was conceived by members of Campbell Street Church of Christ while doing mission work in Nicaragua. During these missions, it was discovered that many of the children in Nicaragua did not have the chance to attend public schools because their families could not afford the uniforms and school supplies.
In 2007, 103 preschool children stepped foot on campus to become Nicaragua Christian School’s first students.
Nicaragua Christian School is set to expand its curriculum to include sewing classes for its students and families this school year, and beginning in the 2016 school year, the school hopes to offer technical training classes: woodworking, welding, etc. Also, by 2016, a new three classroom building will be completed for the High School students. Some other goals for the NCS future include sponsorships for all 430 students, the building of a soccer field, adding on to the existing playground to ensure the safety of all students, the addition of a Chemistry lab and storage facility, and the donations and support to begin a full time school of Biblical Studies. Furthermore, as NCS grows and expands, it is clear that building another school in a different location would further the kingdom of God in Nicaragua.
